Die Ortsbeschreibung von 1745

In 1975 Herbert Lamprecht, whose father was once a teacher in Datterode, published the typewriter copy of the discription of Datterode of 1745. The original is detained in the state archives of Marburg. With gracious permission of Mr. Lamprecht we are able to present the digital version. Generously our member Werner Wieditz made his computer written copy of 2000 available, so the reconditioning was much easier. At this point many thanks to both. In the article „From the history of Datterode“ in the menue „History and stories“ we quote of the foreword of the discription from Herbert Lamprecht. To avoid repititions we spitcht this article directly with that part of the foreword which deals with the so called „Lager-, Stück- und Steuerbuches“ (“Stock-, head- and taxbook”) of the village Datterode of 1745. While the old document is written in a very old German style and/or in Latin it is hard to translate those terms in English.

Therefore in this English version we just present the summary and the headlines of the section signs. But the register of the residents you will find completely translated.
